Mom and Dad on the Cliff

Mom and Dad
on the Cliff

Pairing for the first time, Murata and Ota seemed at once to be moving independently, and also exploring each other’s movements, keeping the audience guessing to the very end. Was this actually a performance piece? Was it drama? Dance? When this duo contrasting in every respect came together, the audience who happened to be there with them bore witness to a miraculous, one-off performance, or perhaps rather, something impossible to name.
